PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent elecrtrophotographic sensitive body having an intermediate layer which has excellent coating property, has smooth surface and obviates an increase in resistance even under low humidity by providing a conductive layer contg. conductor powder, binder resin and Al contg. coupling agent between a substrate and photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The conductive layer contg. the A contg. coupling agent for example, acetoalkoxy aluminum diisopropylate in the conductive powder such as conductive titanium oxide coated with tin oxide and antimony oxide on the surface of titanium oxide particles or carbon black and the binder resin and having 10<4>-10<12>OMEGAcm volume resistivity is formed on a conductive substrate. A resin such as polyamide which prevents the carrier implantation from such layer is thinly formed thereon if necessary and thereafter the laminated photosensitive layer consisting of a charge generating layer and charge transfer layer is preferably provided thereon. Even if the substrate surface is rough, the conductive layer is formed to have the smooth surface and has the good adhesiveness between the substrate and the photosensitive layer. The light is scattered by the powder in the layer and the interference by the light reflected from the surface is prevented even if laser light is used as the light source. The photosensitive body with which the excellent iamge is obtainable is thus obtd. |
