<p>PURPOSE:To make possible easy and sure molding of a mold even with a relatively weak and light molding flask by providing a porous pattern plate elevating table, the specific molding flask supporting conveyor, the specific pressing means and a cover device with compressed gas feed- exhaust means subsequently from below. CONSTITUTION:An elevating table 6 and pattern plate 9 are moved upward and a molding flask 50 and build-up flask 24 are placed on the plate 9. Molding sand is charged into the spacing thus formed. Stationary and elevating covers 29, 43 are moved to rigth above the flask 24 by a travelling table 28 and a support conveyor 20 are spread by a cylinder 18. Next, the flask 24, etc. are moved upwatd to be mounted thereon with a flask member 31 and let the table 28 contact the member 47, after which the cover 43 is lowered by a cylinder 40 until flange parts 43a and 8a are contacted. When compressed air is supplied into the hermetic chamber 46 thus formed through air feed-exhaust port 39, part of it flows to a pressure receiving part 48 and the other flows through the sand 51, vent holes 13, etc. and is thereby exhausted. Internal pressure acts upon the molding flask 50 but external pressure also acts to offset this. Next, a pressure plate 35 is lowered by a cylinder 32 to be hermetically pushed into the flask 24. Again compressed air is fed to give squeeze action to the sand. At this time as well, the internal and external pressures of the molding flask are offset.</p> |
