<p>The process consists of (a) crossing the first short yarn to the right and the second short yarn to the left, with the first long yarn in the centre, to form the first crossing; (b) crossing the second short yarn to the right, and the first short yarn to the left, with the second long yarn in the centre, to form the second crossing, and (c) combine both crossings to form the braid. The equipment consists of a lower plate with fixed cones carrying an adjusting bearing, and with thread guides, an upper plate which carries a toothed ring, and a centre plate with toothed ring, oscillating cones and interior and exterior eccentrics solid with the tie-rods.</p> |
