PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform the separation of recording paper and an ink sheet in a state taking no large place, by bringing one end of the guide plate of the recording paper positioned in the vicinity of a roller into contact with the recording paper side of the ink sheet. CONSTITUTION:A platen roller is rotated to a clockwise direction by a motor as shown by the arrow and an ink sheet 1 and recording paper 5 reach the recording part between a thermal head 3 and a platen roller 4 while fed to the direction shown by the arrow B to receive thermal transfer recording. The ink sheet 1 and the recording paper 5 are held to a state weakly adhered through molten ink and integrally fed out from the part of the platen roller 4. Because one of guide plates 20 functions as a separation part 30 and held to the state contacted with the ink sheet 1, the leading end of the recording paper 5 is impinged to the leading end of the guide plate 20 constituting the separation part 30 and the recording paper 5 is separated from the ink sheet 1 and the leading end of the recording paper 5 is guided between the guide plates 20, 20. the recording paper and the ink sheet can be separated without providing the space for providing a separation mechanism. |
