PURPOSE:To perform proper trouble recovery processing for a page history memory without interrupting original processing by providing an error holding means which holds the state wherein trouble is detected in the page history memory. CONSTITUTION:The page history memory 103 consists of an RC (R: reference bit, C: changed bit) bit write control part 301, RC bit storage part 302, control part 303, error detecting means 304, and holding means 305. Writing or reading operation is perfomred by te write control part 301 for writing/read control part 303 for reading according to a request sent from the request accepting part 201 of a main storage controller 102. The trouble fault detecting means 304 checks whether trouble occurs in a page history or not during the writing/ reading operation and the holding means 305 holds the detected trouble. |
