PURPOSE:To obtain a bale having excellent kneading property with compounding agent for rubber by a method wherein crumbs, to which a small amount of anti-adhesion agent is added under fixed conditions before forming the bale, is formed under the specified pressure for the specified period of press time. CONSTITUTION:In order to press-mold ethylene propylene rubber in crumb shape into bale shape, firstly, the ethylene propylene rubber in crumb shape is brought under the conditions that its temperature lies in 20-60 deg.C and its water content lies in 0.3-1.0wt% and 0.01-2.0pts.wt. of anti-adhesion agent is added to 100pts.wt. of rubber. After that, a pressure of 20-80kg/cm<2> is applied for 0.5-5sec onto said ethylene propylene rubber. As a result, dry ethylene propylene rubber crumbs can be removed from a baler with its bale shape retained so as to obtain a bale formed in a rectangular parallelepiped. Thus, a bale, which represents excellent kneading property when kneaded with compounding agent for rubber, can be manufactured. |
