The invention relates to novel aminoglycoside derivatives of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 represents hydrogen or a group of the formulae <IMAGE> R2 represents OH or NH2, R3 represents hydrogen or OH, R4 represents hydrogen or OH, R5 represents the amino, methylamino, dimethylamino or, if R2 denotes the amino group, also the hydroxy group and R6 represents hydrogen or the methyl group, and their acid addition salts and processes for the preparation of compounds of the formula I and their acid addition salts, and their use.
