PURPOSE:To minimize an appraoch required time and to improve the processing efficiency by specifying shape of component and cutting start point so as to use the element having the shape of component closest from the cut start point as a startup element. CONSTITUTION:The device deciding an approach path of an NC program consists of a processor 11, a ROM12 storing a control program, a RAM13, a working memory 14, a keyboard 15 and a graphic display device 16 and a data output device 17 outputting the generated NC program data to an external storage medium 18. In obtaining an approach path, a compnent shape PPT and a cut start point Pm consisting of plural elements ELi are specified and the element (EL3) closest from the cut start point Pm among the said elements ELi is obtained. The element EL3 is used as the startup element and a straight line path APP tying a point Pa closest to the cut start point Pm and the cut start point Pm on points on the element EL3 is used as the approach path. |
