PURPOSE:To facilitate the manual operation at holding time by supplying an adequate power to the winding of a stepping motor from a holding power source separately from a driving power source at the holding time. CONSTITUTION:When a hold signal is applied to a terminal 11, a gate 10 interrupts a control signal output from a comparator 6. Thus, a transistor 8 is turned OFF to interrupt the power of a drive power source 1. Accordingly, only power is supplied from a holding power source 12 to a winding 2. Since the current flowed to the winding 2 at holding time is decided by the resistance value of a resistor 13, the resistance value of the resistor 13 is determined so that the winding current becomes optimum by considering the operability in the manual operation at the holding time and the stability of the rotor position at the holding time. |
