PURPOSE:To prevent dust, fine paper dusts or the like from penetrating into heat-radiating fins or a printing hammer driving part, by a construction wherein a fan is fitted to a fixed frame, and the frame is formed in a hermetically sealed construction having an air intake port equipped with a dust-catching filter. CONSTITUTION:The fixed frame 1 with a plurality of dot printing hammer units 2 disposed thereon is fitted with small-type light-weight fan 21 having air flow discharging ports 22 directed outward on both sides thereof, and the air intake port 23 equipped with the dust-catching filter 24 is provided at a side face opposite to the hammer units 2 to form the hermetically sealed construction. When the fans 21 provided on both sides of the frame 1 are driven, air taken in through the port 23 is deprived of dusts by the filter 24, and the resultant clean air collides against the heat-radiating fins 3 to perform forced cooling. Accordingly, dust, fine paper dusts or the like is prevented from penetrating into the fins 3 or the printing hammer driving part. |
