PURPOSE:To remarkably retard short circuit due to growth of spongy lead at a lug part of a negative pole plate by coating a strap in a pole plate group and a lug part of a plate with synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:A pole plate group 3 is inversely put into a storage jar 2 made of molten synthetic resin 1 for immersing a pole rod part 4, strap part 5 and a lug part 6 of a pole plate. Thereby, the plate rod part 4 is protected by a protector 7 of synthetic rubber or the like agreeing with its shape. Thereafter, while being pulled up, the pole rod part 4 is removed of the protector 7 for being cooled and silidified. In the pole plate group 3 thus obtained, the strap part 5 and the lug part 6 are protected by the protection part 8 so as to enable the upper part of the pole plate group 3 to prevent short circuit of the lug part 6. |
