Hay crane

A hay crane has a luffing jib and a hydraulically operable grab (2) suspended on the jib end (1) and liftable and lowerable by means of a lifting rope (3). Provided on the grab (2) and the jib end (1) are pivoting means which are allocated to one another, come into engagement when the grab is raised fully to the jib end (1) and permit the grab (2) to swing up in the vertical longitudinal plane of the jib. The pivoting means comprise a supporting-arm arrangement (16) arranged on the crane-side end of the grab (2). The supporting-arm arrangement (16) can be extended in the direction of the jib end (1) by means of a hydraulic cylinder (22) arranged on the grab (2). Arranged on the jib end (1) is a first supporting socket (8), open to the bottom, for a pivot pin (10) provided on the rope block (9) coaxially to its axis, as well as a second supporting socket (11) which is offset relative to the first supporting socket (8) towards the crane, is open towards the bottom and is provided for supporting the head part (17) of the supporting-arm arrangement (16). <IMAGE>
