PURPOSE:To prevent entrance of water, by forming a lip in a glass pane fitting grove in a weather strip and by reversely turning the lip after the glass pane is fitted, so that the lip is made into strongly press-contact with the surface of the glass pane under the recovery force of the lip to its original shape to exhibit their sealing ability. CONSTITUTION:A lip 25 extending in the direction in which a window glass pane is fitted in a glass pane fitting groove 21 in a weather strip 2, is formed on one lateral surface of the groove 21 which faces the outer surface of the glas pane fitted in the groove 21. Further, projections 23 are formed on the other lateral surface of the groove, confronting the lip 25, and a rope 5 adapted to be not fused to the rubber of the weather strip 2 is laid between the root section of the lip 25 and the weather strip body. The window glass pane 1 is fitted to the window opening by means of the weather strip 2, and then the rope 5 is successively pulled out to reversely turn the lip 25 so that the lip 25 is made in press-contact with the outer surface of the window glass pane 1. |
