<p>Tankers can be moored for transshipment operations to a rigid or yielding structure protruding above the water level which is anchored to the sea bed by piles or by its own weight. An articulated linkage joins the tanker to this structure through a stabiliser on board, connected to the deck and to the linkage by swivelling hinges.</p> |
