<p>The process comprises (a) polymerising mixts., of methyl methacrylate with methyl benzyl acrylate, methyl p-chloro benzyl acrylate or methyl p-methoxy benzyl acrylate in presence of initiators e.g. 2,2'-azobisisobutyronitrile, per-esters or azo-cpds.,; (b) degasifying the mixt. in vacuum; (c) placing the mixt. in a thermostat bath at 50-70 deg.C; (d) taking samples at various times to determine gravimetrically the conversion grade; (e) attaining the conversion limit in the bath; and (f) superheating the prod. at 98-100 deg.C for 1 hour to cure the acrylic copolymer.</p> |
