PURPOSE:To smoothly start a motor by stopping the counting operation of a rotary position counter until the motor rotates at an angle corresponding to the specified value, thereby eliminating the discontinuity of an armature current even if an incremental encoder is used. CONSTITUTION:When a synchronous motor 4 is started, the same pulse number signal F1P (R1P) as an encoder pulse or ''NO pulse'' for generating no pulse signal is selected as a counting pulse of a rotary position counter 307 in the fore half of the middle position of each position mode to stop the counting operation of the counter 307. A pulse signal F1P (R1P) or pulse number signal F2P (R2P) of the double of the encoder pulse is selected in the rear half of the middle position, and a memory ROM-U (ROM-V), not shown, outputs a smooth value. |
