PURPOSE:To eliminate a sudden entering sensation as well as to improve an operating feeling ever so better, by giving a maximum value to a gear ratio at a neutral position of a steering wheel, while giving a minimum value to it between the neutral position and a maximum turning position. CONSTITUTION:A gear ratio is set to such a characteristic E as giving a maximum value at a neutral position of a steering wheel and gives a minimum value between the neutral position and a maximum turning position. Therefore, an entering angle of a real steering wheel 8 per unit turning angle in a large turning range of the steering wheel is set to constant or a diminishing tendency. Accordingly, a sudden entering sensation is solved and an operating feeling is well improved. |
