Profile and flat-steel shears are shown and described having a machine body (1) consisting of two body plates (2, 3), having stationary blades (4, 5), having a working carriage (6) and having two blades (7, 8) which are moved by means of the working carriage (6). In order that on the one hand a plurality of profile and flat-steel shears can be arranged closely in a row and that, on the other hand, the replacement of the blades (4, 7) can be automated, the stationary blade (4) and the moving blade (7) can be replaced in a blade replacement plane (9) which is in the main plane of the machine body (1) or is parallel to the main plane of the machine body (1). <IMAGE>
