PURPOSE:To improve the distance measuring accuracy in an animation photographing camera, etc., by dividing a distance measuring area of a sensor into (n) as necessary, so that a distance of an object to be photographed can be known from the respective areas, and selecting a priority distance by luminance information. CONSTITUTION:A signal obtained from a sensor 19 passes through an A/D converter 24 and a gate 40, and picture elemnts are stocked by eight pieces each in three memories 41-43. A result of operation by an operator 44 shows distance information of a position of 37, and in the same way, 45 shows distance information of a position of 39. In a depth operating circuit 51, a depth under a photographing state is calculated as a width of (k) based on diaphragm information obtained by a diaphragm meter which is not shown in the figure, and focal distance information (f) of a photographic lens system obtained by an encoder, etc. Three distance information K44-K46 obtained by Hpf operating circuits 44-46 are averaged by an averaging circuit 52. When an SW56 is connected, a necessary moving extent of the lens is calculated by focal distance information F, (f), etc. by an operating circuit 57, and a motor is driven. In this way, in an animation photographing camera, etc., its distance measuring accuracy can be improved remarkably. |
