PURPOSE:To handle a recording medium with machine-readable information abnormally recorded thereon in the same manner as in handling a blank recording medium, by printing visual information only on a recording medium with machine-readable information normally recorded thereon. CONSTITUTION:With a ticket paper inserted into an inserting port part 12, a sensor 17 sends a detection signal to a controlling circuit 30, and a pulse motor 29 is driven. Magnetic information required for automatic ticket examination is written on a magnetic recording surface by a writing head 19, then the magnetic information is read by a reading head 20, and the circuit 30 checks whether or not the information is normal. When the information is normal, the ticket paper is fed to a printing part, where visual information according to the magnetic information is printed on a printing surface of the ticket paper by a thermal head 21 through a transfer paper R to form a ticket. The ticket is fed, is once stopped by a stopper 21, and is fed to the inserting port part 12 by reversely rotating the pulse motor 29 by the circuit 30. If the magnetic information is abnormal, the motor 29 is reversely rotated to return the ticket paper to the inserting port part 21 without feeding it to the printing part 25. |
