The intermediate transmission comprises three shafts (6, 7, 12) and six gears (4, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11) mounted on the shafts. The gear (4) fixed on the input shaft (6) and the mating gear (5) fixed on the counter shaft (7) function as additional reduction gearing of the transmission. These two gears (4, 5) permanently engage in one another. The input shaft gear (4) has eighteen teeth (13) and is of a modulus of 2.5. The mating gear (5) has thirty nine teeth (16) and is also of a modulus of 2.5. By means of this arrangement of the gears in the intermediate transmission, an optimum number of revolutions of approximately 3600 to 3800rpm is obtained for the motor-driven agricultural cart in direct road running at a speed of 25 kph without modifying its dimensions and with precisely the same engagement. <IMAGE>
