Stable slow-release pesticide compositions contained formaldehyde, water soluble hydrazinium salt, e.g. 1,1-dimethyl-hydrazin oxalate, hydrazin monochloride, methylhydrazin sulfate, and ammonium benzoate or ammonium citrate. This formulation effectively controlled early and late blights of tomato, downy mildew, blights of squash and cucumbers, black rot on grapes, rose black spot, and plant lice and mites.
