PURPOSE:To prevent the variance of supply of a developer due to the damage of a blade by attaching the blade, which controls the thickness of the developer supplied to a photosensitive drum, to a developer supply cartridge and replacing the blade together with the cartridge. CONSTITUTION:A developer 2 in a developing tank 1 is supplied in the direction of an arrow A by a developer supply roll 14 while being agitated by an agitator 3. The developer 2 is supplied onto a sleeve 5 while its thickness is controlled by the blade 6 consisting of an elastic material. The blade 6 is attached to a developer supply cartridge 8, and the blade 6 is replaced together with the cartridge 8 for the purpose of supplying the developer 2, and the front end of the blade 6 is always kept normal to uniform normally the thickness of the developer supplied to the sleeve 5. Thus, the trouble of maintenance of the blade 6 is omitted, and the variance of development is prevented. |
