PURPOSE:To cool the bearing of respective shaft easily and reliably by providing a water path from the upstream end section of valve for containing the generator body through hollow generator shaft and water turbine shaft to the downstream end section. CONSTITUTION:A hollow generator shaft 5 for supporting a rotor 2 and a hollow water turbine shaft 6 for overhanging a runner 26 at the downstream end section are coupled each other through flange sections 5a, 6a. Then the water lead port 23 at the tip of valve nose 4 and the hollow section of the generator shaft 5 are coupled through conduit 21 while a shaft seal device 22 is provided at the joint between the conduit 21 and the generator shaft 5 to prevent water leakage. In such a manner, a water path 24 is formed in the valve 3 from the water lead port 23 of valve nose 4 through the conduit 21, the shaft seal device 22, the generator shaft 5, the water turbine shaft 6 to the discharge port 25 at the end of water turbine shaft 6 in the rear of the runner 26. Consequently, the bearings 7, 8 of respective shaft 5, 6 can be cooled easily and reliably. |
