PURPOSE:To perform artifical verdigris treatment inexpensively with satisfactory adhesion and color tone, by sand blasting the surface of copper plate or bar product, then coating with a water paint contg. powder of basic CuSO4, etc., suitable for an accelerating agent to verdigris generation, etc. thereon. CONSTITUTION:The surface of Cu plate or Cu bar product is sand blasted with the abrasive composed of an inorganic compound such as alundum, to form the substrate treated surface roughened complicatedly. Next, the water paint composed essentially of basic CuSO4 and/or basic CuCO3, if necessary about 5-40% powder incorporated with <=about 2wt% iron salt, about 10-25% emulsion such as PVAc, about 1-15% agent for accelerating verdigris generation contg. ammonium ion and no chloride and the balance water are coated on said substrate treated plane by the spray coating method, etc. Thereafter, said coated product is heated by steam heating, etc. and dried to perform artificial verdigris treatment. |
