An insulating or covering member for a stream trap comprises two parts 4,5 provided with welded joints 6,7 and 8 whereby the parts are joined together and the gap between the edge of the insulating or covering member and the steam trap casing at each pipe connecting portion is sealed by means of heat- resistant material.
