PURPOSE:To correct the amplitude characteristic of a signal cable by connecting a variable resistor whose other end is grounded to a connecting point between a parallel circuit comprised of a resistor and a capacitor connected between an input signal and the end of a signal cable and the end to the other end of the signal cable respectively. CONSTITUTION:An input signal to an input terminal 1 is amplified by an amplifier 3 and an output of the amplifier 3 is transmitted to a signal cable 5 in series with a parallel circuit comprised of the resistor R5 and the capacitor C1 constituting a line equalizer 6'. The signal transmitted through the cable 5 is amplified by an amplifier 4 and outputted to an output terminal 2. Variable resistors RV0 and RV1 whose other ends are grounded are connected to an input terminal and an output terminal of the cable 5. The RV0, RV1 are adjusted in response to the characteristic impedance of the cable 5 to match the impedance between the input and output and the amplitude characteristic is corrected in response to the high frequency attenuation characteristic of the cable 5. |
