PURPOSE:To provide a reduced weight, increased strength and improved brazing characteristic, plating characteristic and workability by using an alloy formed by dispersing either of Be powder or Be alloy powder at specific volumetric % into a Ti alloy, cladding a specific material if necessary as an intermediate material thereon and cladding further an alloy having corrosion resistance on the outside peripheral surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:Either of the Be powder or Be alloy powder is dispersed at 0.1- 40vol% into the Ti alloy to be used as the core material in order to improve the mechanical strength of the core material and to reduce the weight thereof. The alloy of Cu, Ni, Ag, Au, platinum group or stainless group having corrosion resistance is clad on the outside peripheral side of the core material to prevent the difficulty of brazing by the high-temp. activity of the Ti which is the essential component of the core material. The deterioration of the plating characteristic by the secure oxide film of the surface is prevented as well. The joint strength between the core material and the sheath metal is further improved if the material consisting of any of Ag, Cu, Ni or the alloy thereof is interposed as the intermediate layer therebetween. |
