PURPOSE:To form uniform bulging parts and to improve the quality of an welded H-beam by providing a pair of forming rolls which grasp the ends of a steel plate and has calibers conforming to the shape of the bulging parts. CONSTITUTION:A pair of the forming rolls 2 which grasp the ends of the steel plate P and are formed with the adequate calibers C conforming to the shape of the bulging parts are disposed in the rear stage of a rolling and supporting roll group 1. The supporting rolls 1B of the group 1 are disposed with rolls 1B' in the central part, in addition to a pair of the upper and lower rolls, total 6 rolls. The rolls 1B, 1B' are made movably freely forwards and back wards with respect to the plate P to deal with the thicknesses of various sizes. The rolls 2 set the bulging parts with the calibers C so as to make said parts equal on the right and left while grasping the plate P with barrel parts 2B. The bulging parts which are equal vertically and laterally are obtd. by the above-mentioned method and the welded H-beam having good quality without weld defects is obtd. |
