<p>The process comprises reaction of sisomycin of formula (II) with 2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3,5-trioxane of formula (III) in the presence of a hydrogenating agent such as sodium cyanoborohydride. This gives prods. of formula (I). - Prod. offers in vivo protection against gram-positive and -negative pathogenic bacteria.</p> |
