PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal display elements having a uniform cell gap and excellent orientability by using pulverous particles consisting of a benzoguanamine-formaldehyde condensation product as a spacer to form a liquid crystal display element. CONSTITUTION:Pulverous spherical powders consisting of the benzoguanamine formaldehyde condensation product expressed by the formula are classified to a suitable grain size. The powders are then dispersed into the solvent of alcohol, ketone, etc. and a dispersion is coated on a substrate subjected to an orientation treatment by a coating method such as spraying, roll coating or gravure coating, by which the liquid crystal display element is obtd. The substrate to be used includes glass, polyester film, polycarbonate film polysulfone film, etc. having a transparent conductive film. Two sheets a pair of the liquid crystal substrates, of which at least one is transparent, are used. |
