In the case of electrical power circuit breakers having closed switching chambers, the risk exists, in the case of an internal arcing defect, of the switching chamber being destroyed as a consequence of the overpressure which builds up. In order to preclude this defect case, expanding screws (7) are provided for the attachment of the plates or caps (6) which close the switching chambers. <IMAGE>
