<p>Method for the separation of metal particles, in which particles of the one metal present greater friction against a surface than particles of the second metal, especially for the separation of lead and copper particles from one another. According to the invention a layer of a mixture of the metal particles is applied by means of an application conveyor 4 or equivalent device to the peripheral surface 8 of a drum 3 rotating about a horizontal axis 7, the application occurring at a point on the drum 3, which in the direction counter to the direction of rotation of the drum is situated at a distance a from a vertical plane 10 through the axis 7 of the drum 3, in which the said distance a is adjusted so that the particles presenting greater friction against the peripheral surface 8 of the drum 3 than the other particles, are entrained in the direction of rotation of the drum, whilst the other particles are led in the opposite direction by means of gravitational force. <IMAGE></p> |
