PURPOSE:To ensure excellent preservability, prevent fading or ground fogging from occurring due to moisture or heat and enable to obtain images which are stable even on adhesion of hairdressing cosmetics or oils or fats, by incorporating a specified aromatic compound into a thermal color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic compound having four ester groups, of formula ( I ), is incorporated in the thermal color forming layer in a thermal recording paper having a thermal color forming layer comprising a colorless or light-colored basic leuco dye and an organic color developer. The compound of the formula functions as a stabilizer. In addition, when it is used in combination with benzyl 4-hydroxybenzoate used as the color developer, blooming characteristic of the color developer can be prevented from occurring. |
