PURPOSE:To prevent the part of a paper discharged from a casing from falling down, make printed images easy to see, omit paper stands and facilitate handling, by a construction wherein a paper is bent in the direction orthogonal to the feeding direction thereof, between a paper rest provided at an opening and a prt of the rear end of a sound-insulating cover. CONSTITUTION:At the opening 5 provided in an upper face of the casing 1, the paper rest 7 is immovably provided to prevent parts of the paper 6 from overlapping with each other and support the paper 6 fed from a platen 3 while ascending rearward. A transparent sound-insulating cover 8 for covering the opening 5 is openably fitted to the casing 1 through hinges 9, and the rear end edge thereof is provided with a guide surface 10 ascending rearward and opposed to the paper rest 7 with a predetermined gap therebetween. Accordingly, since the paper 6 is curved by curved surfaces 11, 12, it is prevented from falling down rearward in a predetermined range in the discharging direction thereof from the cover 8, and the printed images can be easily seen. |
