PURPOSE:To make effective use of the energy of recording light and reproducing light and to improve recording efficiency and reproducing efficiency by providing plural antireflection layers to a magnetic recording medium and using Si3N4 to form the side nearer the recording layer out of said layers. CONSTITUTION:The plural antireflection layers 3a and 3b are laminated between a plastic substrate 1a and a recording layer 2 consisting of at least an amorphous magnetic film in the magnetic recording medium having said substrate and layer 2. The layer 3b disposed on the layer 2 side is formed by using Si3N4. The layer 3a on the substrate 1 side has the excellent adhesion to the substarate 1. The Si3N4 which is the material for the layer 3b provided on the layer 2 side has an extremely high refractive index. The antireflection layer having the extremely good adhesiveness to the substrate 1 and antireflection effect is thus obtd. if two layers of the above-mentioned antireflection layers are viewed as one body. The layers 3a, 3b have the effect of preventing the layer 2 from being deteriorated by moisture, oxygen, etc. |
