PURPOSE:To obtain high and steady discharge voltage by forming a carbon mold positive electrode with a non-granular powder molding whose pore size is practically uniform throughout the electrode and specifying its porosity. CONSTITUTION:A carbon mold positive electrode 4 is faced with a negative electrode 2 with a separator 3 interposed. The carbon electrode 4 comprising carbon powder and resin powder binder consists of a non-granular molding whose pore size 41, 41... is practically uniform throughout the electrode and porosity is 70-90%. Thereby, discharge reaction progresses smoothly throughout the electrode. Therefore, a nonaqueous electrolyte battery having high and steady discharge voltage is obtained. |
