Propulsion machinery with propellers equipped with buckets (10) adjustable while under way, which are pivotally attached to a hub (80). Operating force is applied to the buckets on the hub via a component (52) with roller cones between which a rolling movement occurs with the repositioning of the buckets. To apply the required positioning moment to the buckets, these can be connected by a conical cog gear (50 and 55). The roller cone placed outside the hub's shaft can be connected by a control shaft outside the same shaft (40 or 46). The control shaft can act as a torsion shaft, counteracting bucket loads in such a way as to be self-correcting.<IMAGE> |
