PURPOSE:To improve the reproducibility of an image by moving a toner image formed of photoconductive toner and carriers on a base electrode to a counter electrode, and transferring the visualized image to a transfer material through an adhesive transfer roll. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive toner A and carriers B are mixed and supplied onto the base electrode 1 while its bristle height is controlled 3. The base electrode 1 when rotating as shown by an arrow is corona-charged 4 electrostatically and irradiated with reflected light 5 from an original. Toner A loses its charge where the light is photodetected, and the remaining toner when facing the counter electrode 6 while holding the charge is biased with an AC voltage V2 containing a DC voltage V1; and the toner A having the charge A is scattered to reach the surface of the counter electrode 6 and the remaining toner stays as it is. The scattered toner is transferred to an adhesive transfer roll 7, transferred to transfer paper 8 by a pressure roller 9, and fixed by an unshown fixing part. Consequently, images of high picture quality with high density are formed. |
