<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering in operation voltage caused by washing spray, by arranging discharge electrodes having various shapes comprising a metal material or a conductive plastic material so as to be opposed to dust collection electrodes and attaching a washing spray above said electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Perforated plates 2 are mounted to the lower part of the main body 1 of a vertical purification apparatus and a lower washing spray 3 is attached above said perforated plates 2 to remove noxious malodorous gas introduced from a gas inlet 4. Further, a dust collection electrode 5, which is formed by arranging hollow metal rods, conductive plastic pipes or grooved molded materials in a slatted mat shape so as to form an oblique angle of theta (5 deg. or more) to the flow direction of gas, and a discharge electrode 6, which is formed by planting a large number of needle shaped pieces to metal rods or conductive plastic rods each having a cylindrical cross-sectional area in the same direction, are arranged above said spray 3 and an upper washing spray 7 is further provided to the uppermost part in the main body 1.</p> |
