Three-jaw drill chucks are provided with a drill-chuck carrier (1) seated on the drill spindle, with a drill-chuck sleeve (3) connected releasably to said drill-chuck carrier (1) via a screw thread (2), and with a plurality of mutually resiliently supported clamping jaws (4) which are arranged in a uniform circumferential distribution therein and which bear in a slidably displaceable manner, via part-conical outer faces (4') provided on them, against a common inner conical face (1'') surrounding them. In order, without extra outlay in terms of construction, to achieve a perfect centring clamping of drills of different diameter to be inserted into the drill chuck, the part-conical outer faces (4') present on the clamping jaws (4) confront the drill-chuck carrier (1), whilst the inner conical face (1'') is provided on the end face of the latter and widens in the direction of the drill-chuck sleeve (3) supporting the clamping jaws (4) axially. <IMAGE>
