The invention relates to a method for manufacturing bridge superstructures or similar long constructions, consisting mainly of single-span girders made of reinforced or prestressed concrete with the aid of a cantilevered advance scaffold. Known methods require as supporting element of the advance scaffold a special scaffold support with a great material requirement. Its manufacture, mounting, demounting and storage give rise to high costs. In the new method, the scaffold support is first made of reinforced or prestressed concrete. On it, the bridge beam is constructed in a simple form and, after setting, is lowered onto the bearings. At the end of the construction period, the scaffold support, as part of the superstructure, forms a permanent component of the finished bridge.
