PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which has a high degree of freedom of color selection and in which the hysteresis width of color formation and extinction is narrow, consisting of a homogeneous mixture of an electron-donating and color-forming org. compd., a compd. contg. a phenolic hydroxyl group and a specified ester. CONSTITUTION:1pt.wt. electron-donating and color-forming org. compd. (A) (e.g. Crystal Violet lactone), 0.1-50pts.wt. at least one compd. (B) (e.g. henzyl hydroxybenzoate) selected from among a compd. contg. a phenolic hydroxyl group (metal salt), arom. and 2-5C aliph. carboxylic acids (salt), acidic phosphate ester (metal salt) and 1,2,3-triazole (derivative), and 1-800pts.wt. at least one compd. (C) (e.g. n-butyl stearate) selected from among esters having a DELTAT value (m.p. minus cloud point) of 3 deg.C or below, are molten by heating to make the mixture homogeneous, thus obtaining the titled compsn. If desired, it is enclosed in micro capsules by spray drying. |
