PURPOSE:To obtain an image having high image density and good gradation by specifying the distance between the sleeve of a developing means and electrophotographic sensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body 1a consisting essentially of amorphous silicon, an electrostatic charging means 2 which applies potential to the photoconductive surface of the body 1a, an exposing means 3 which forms a latent image on the photoconductive surface and a developing means 4 which is disposed with a sleeve 5 and a magnet roll 6 positioned on the inside thereof so as to be made rotatable independently from each other and contains a developer 7 consisting of a toner having an insulating characteristic and insulating carrier contg. a magnetic material around the same are provided. A corotron 8 for transfer which transfers the developed image to copying paper and fixing means are further provided. The distance between the sleeve 5 of the means 4 and the body 1a is specified at 0.2-0.4mm. by which the electrophotographic device forming the image having the high image density and good gradation and having a long life is obtd. |
