PURPOSE:To enable satisfactory brazing even in an atmospheric atmospher in brazing of an Al material by using a reactive flux consisting essentially of a fluoride compd. and heating members to be joined under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:For example, a mixture composed of the compd. thereof consisting essentially of KF, AlF3 or KAlF4 alone or a mixture contg. essentially of at least >=2 kinds among K3AlF6, KAlF4 and AlF3 etc. are used for the flux and further LiF, etc. may be added thereto. The time since the temp. of the members to be joined exceeds about 300 deg.C as a result of heating until the brazing ends is so set as to be kept within about 4min in order to suppress the reaction between the flux and the moisture and oxygen in the atm. and the adverse influence of said reaction as far as possible. The individual local brazing is satisfactorily executed even in the atmospheric atmosphere by the above- mentioned method, by which the workability is improved. |
