PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of heat from the water surface of an open type hot water storing tank, by floating a flat float body on the water surface of the open type hot water storing tank thereby body having a density lower than water covering substantial part of the surface. CONSTITUTION:A water controlling valve 9 is attached to the tip of a water supply pipe 2 and is connected dynamically to a float body 8 by a lever section 10, and the vertical movement of the float body 8 causes the water controlling valve 9 to act. The float 8 has an opening in the center through which a water receiving opening 11 of a water conducting pipe 5 is open thereby acting to lead the supply water via the water controlling valve 9 to the bottom part of the hot water storing tank 1. In this arrangement, the float body can act as a heat insulating material and covering for the water surface to lower substantially the heat loss and can follow the movement of the water level, and the movement of the float body can be transmitted via the lever section to the water controlling valve positively. |
