PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member which improves the operability at the time of the manufacture of an optical equipment such as a projection device by adjusting the length of the optical path of light passing through respective image forming means and a prism member by moving the relative positions of the respective prisms, which constitute the prism member, along joined surfaces. SOLUTION: The optical member which has the prism member (color composing prism 20) constituted by joining plural prisms (21-23) having dichroic films formed on their end surfaces together and plural image forming means (liquid crystal panels 24-26) fixed to the prism member and adjusts the optical path length of the light passing through the respective image forming means and prism member by moving the relative positions of the respective prisms constituting the prism member along the joined surfaces is used for the optical equipment such as a projection device.
