The toothbrush consists of a head (10) formed from a moulded-plastic support in which tufts of bristles (11) are embedded, and of a shaped metallic handle (12). The head (10) is fastened removably onto the handle (12) so that it is possible to remove it in order to replace it with a head having different characteristics or to dispose of it when the bristles are worn out and to replace it with a new head (10). <IMAGE>
