PURPOSE:To enhance the anti-windup rigidity of an axle to prevent a differential gear unit from oscillating, by absorbing windup generated around the axle with the use of air springs arranged in the front and rear of the axle. CONSTITUTION:A rear axle 1 couples between a differential gear unit 2 and rear wheels, and a leaf spring 5 is attached at its both ends to side frames 6 with the center section of the leaf spring 5 being attached to an axle casing 4 by means of an attaching member 51. Air springs are arranged at positions nearer to the center of a vehicle body than that of the leaf spring 5, and the lower end of each air spring 9 is attached to a lower mount member 10 extending from the rear axle 1, and the upper end thereof is attached to an upper mount member 11 as a vehicle body member spanned between the side frames 6. By arranging two such air springs 9 on each side of the vehicle body, the size of one air spring may be made smaller, thereby the problem of layout of tires and wheels are reduced and the oscillation of the differential gear unit may be prevented. |
