PURPOSE:To obtain an oil pump apparatus which is small-sized, lightweight and inexpensive by coaxially installing a planetary gear mechanism onto the body of the pump having a constant discharge amount and controlling an actuator for regulating the degree of freedom of a ring gear by the pump discharge pressure. CONSTITUTION:When a driving shaft 2 is driven through a V-belt 3 and a V- pulley 1, a vane pump including a cam ring 14 is operated through a driven shaft 8 and a planetary gear mechanism including a planetary pinion 6 and a ring gear 9, and the discharged oil is supplied into a power steering. In this case, if the number of engine revolution detected by a revolution speed sensor is below a prescribed value, e.g. 1,500rpm or less, a solenoid 17 conducts through a controller 20, and a hydraulic control valve 16 is switched to the state shown in the figure. Therefore, a portion of the above-described discharged oil of the pump is supplied into an actuator 10, which is press-attached onto a housing 4, and the driven shaft 8 is revolved at high speed. |
